In Weitzel, A Generation of Change

For over 40 years, he has served as a Realtor. Long-time broker and owner of the Weitzel Home Team, Chris Weitzel is once again a RE/MAX Whatcom County top producer.

He began his career when Sudden Valley was a lake-and-mountain vacation getaway, with second-home chalets and cabins for our Canadian friends coming across the border. Speaking to Sudden Valley’s rustic beginnings, Chris says, “I remember giving away new sleeping bags and community maps!” Now, Sudden Valley is a burgeoning, residential community, south of Bellingham, thanks, in part, to Chris’ work.

In his Weitzel Home Team lead role, Chris researches each property and neighborhood, to create a customized marketing and pricing strategy for every client. He oversees sales, from prep to closing and beyond, to make sure customers are protected every step of the way.

So, it seems fitting that during his career, he is most proud of receiving the Community Service Award, from global RE/MAX headquarters in Denver. His practice of giving to others naturally comes from his service to clients.

Chris is grateful for his team, buyer broker Tracy Hinojosa and able assistant Brenda Shelikoff. Business partner Carmen Andrew, along with daughter and broker, Sydney Weitzel, help bring the Weitzel Home Team reputation to the next generation.
