It is impossible to miss Mark's sincere enthusiasm in his role as RE/MAX Whatcom County Inc., REALTOR®. When probed he describes it this way: "I like the hunt of finding the right property, listening carefully to learn a client's needs and wants, giving positive guidance through processes that can seem stressful, negotiating terms of the sale…seeing them completely happy when an offer is accepted, then successfully closed." With an unbeatable eye for spotting all the little details that make a property great or areas that might need attention. Mark enjoys helping clients find their ideal home in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. He is passionate about the region he serves and is a firm believer that people live happier, healthier lives when they are in a community they love. Whether clients are first-time home buyers, or families looking to upsize, or parents simply wanting to downsize after the kids have moved out, Mark can help and he won't stop moving until expectations are met or exceeded. A BA degree in Law and Societies earned at the University of Washington, an internship at the Washington State Bar Association, years of construction experience, and background of managing insurance agencies; these experiences have honed his project management and client satisfaction skills to a level of excellence. Mark believes in continually educating himself in the real estate field and has completed over a dozen professional realtor designations/classes including the NWMLS Rules and Regulations, Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), and Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) Designation Course. While the real estate agent role demands time and attention at any hour and day of the week, it also provides flexibility; Mark regularly volunteers at the Bellingham Food Bank, is an avid sports fan, and cherishes time with his wife and their six-month-old son. If you happen to see them on a regular walk around Lake Louise with their little white dog Sushi, be sure to say hello. And next time you, or someone you know, is thinking of selling or is in the market to search for a new home, give him a call.
